Airline stripes at Wadden were speculation: “Is the pilot drunk?” | Remarkable

On social media, several people report the condensation tracks in which aircraft have experienced a rollercoaster. The suggestions about ‘a drunken pilot’ are numerous.

None of that is true. It concerns an air force exercise with a KDC-10 tank aircraft and F-16s from Volkel. “They held an ‘air refueling’ exercise above the Wadden and the North Sea,” a spokesman for Eindhoven Air Base told NH News.

The exercise is a tricky trick. The F16s are refueled in the air by the KDC-10. The jets make certain maneuvers. They are not drunk, the spokesman emphasizes.
