Brentford and Fulham faced each other this Tuesday night for the Play Off final in the Championship.
Stake ? A climb and therefore a coveted place in the Premier League next season. At Wembley, the two teams, inhibited by the pressure of the meeting, finally managed to decide at the end of extra time, after the first 90 minutes particularly closed.
Bryan’s brace gives Fulham a climb
Fulham put an end to Brentford’s dreams with a saving brace from Joe Bryan. First, the side was responsible for opening the scoring with a distant free kick (105th), taking advantage of the poor placement of the opposing goalkeeper on this stopped phase. Then, the same Joe Bryan, decidedly very prominent in this match, managed to double the end of an action smoothly carried out near the penalty area, offering the goal of the rise of the right foot, him the left-hander (117th).
At the end of added time, Brentford was trying to react. Too late. The goal scored by Dalsgaard did not change anything (120th) and the referee whistled the end of the game a few seconds later. Late in the London night, it was Fulham who won his ticket for the Premier League, a year after his relegation to the Championship. Thanks to his victory, the team coached by Scott Parker join Leeds and West Bromwich Albion, already promoted.
