Even if Slovenia meets the set limit for declaring an epidemic today, this does not mean that it will happen automatically, says government spokesman Jelko Kacin. Today, however, the crisis section of the government, together with the advisory group, will review the current situation and consider what measures, if any, should be introduced and when. According to Kacin, the adoption of new measures is not expected today.
But even if Slovenia meets the set limit for declaring an epidemic today, this does not mean that it will happen automatically, a government spokesman for covid-19 told STA yesterday. Jelko Kacin. It would only go “just as a sign that other measures need to be considered, especially in the light of what has already been taken and the effects of the measures taken “.
He noted that the effects of the measures give results after about eight days. “In general, however, it does not make sense to predict anything or further incite fear. It needs to be well thought out because we have taken fairly strong measures, “he added.
Today a new meeting of the government and the advisory group
The crisis part of the government, together with the advisory group of the Ministry of Health, will review the current situation at today’s meeting and consider what measures, if any, should be introduced and when. However, since it is a consultative body that only prepares working materials, the adoption of new measures is not expected today, Kacin added.
He is pleased that people have taken positive action and are increasingly sticking to it: “You practically no longer meet a man who would not have a mask, even if he walks or rides a bicycle. This shows that people understand that the rise in infections needs to be stopped and reduced because healthcare simply cannot, “he said on the 24UR show.
According to him, data on new infections will not be published today until around 1 p.m.
On Friday, we confirmed 898 new cases and performed 5,605 tests, which means that the share of positive tests was 16%.
On Saturday, stricter measures came into force in nine red regions. It is forbidden to perform catering activities in bars and offer services in fitness centers and indoor sports facilities. There can only be one client at a time in hairdressing and beauty salons. Masks are also mandatory outdoors, movement outside the region is restricted, except in the case of 11 exceptions. The latter include arrival and departure for work, the performance of economic, agricultural and forestry activities, the provision of health and property insurance services, the protection or care of a family member, access to pharmacies and health services and hospitals.
From today, the masses are again held in a truncated form. In the red regions, religious rites with the presence of people are forbidden, and in the orange regions, up to ten believers can attend, but only in their parishes.
