Winning is something special, even though it’s not a real World Cup. But victory is victory. I managed a solid ride, I didn’t feel the best at the start, “Božič told TV SLO, who sometimes performed successfully in a pair with Saša Taljat. They ended their journey together three years ago.

Savšek, who had the best time in the semifinals, made too many mistakes in the lower part and got six penalty seconds.

Jure Lenarčič finished in 9th place.

In the girls’ category, Slovenia had two finalists. Alja Kozorog, who rowed in the finals for the third time in her career, was close to repeating last year’s fourth place, she was fifth, and three touches took her better result. Lea Novak, third in the semi-finals, performed worse, finishing seventh with a big gap. Brazilian Ana Satila won.

Kayakers competed in the first race of the unusual season of the World Cup in kayak-canoe on wild waters on Saturday, Peter Kavzer was 2nd, Eva Terčelj 4th.

The competition in Tacen was considerably curtailed.
