Coronavirus: Slovenia stopped detecting their contacts due to the high number of infected

On Sunday, they reported an increase of 726 new infections in Slovenia in 24 hours; 897 confirmed cases were added on Saturday.

Due to the high number of infected and overloaded system, the Slovenian health authorities stopped tracking the contacts of persons infected with the new coronavirus. The DPA agency informed about it on Sunday.

The competent authorities have announced that persons with a positive test for a new type of coronavirus will receive their results together with an order to self-isolate and contact the persons they have met and may be exposed to the disease. The authorities ended their efforts to find out the contacts infected because, according to them, it was not possible to continue this successfully due to the high number of infected.

On Sunday, they reported an increase of 726 new infections in Slovenia in 24 hours; 897 confirmed cases were added on Saturday. Per 100,000 inhabitants, there are 317 new cases in two weeks.

A total of 13,151 positive test persons and 187 related deaths have been recorded in the country since the beginning of the pandemic.
