Coronavirus: There were six more deaths in Slovakia

In Slovakia, there were six confirmed deaths from the pulmonary form of the COVID-19 disease. A total of 88 people died from the disease in the country. TASR was informed about this by the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Eliášová.

“A 55-year-old man died at the University Hospital in Martin, a 71-year-old man at the Central Military Hospital in Ružomberok, a 72-year-old man at the University Hospital in Martin, a 75-year-old man in the same hospital,” said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health. An 81-year-old man died in the hospital in Partizánské and an 83-year-old died in the University Hospital in Trnava.

614 patients are hospitalized, 520 of them have confirmed COVID-19 disease. There are 20 people at JIS, 51 patients need the support of artificial lung ventilation.

The total number of positively tested people in the country is 28,268 so far, 606,149 laboratory tests have been performed in Slovakia since the beginning of the outbreak. There are currently 20,889 active cases of the disease.
