With a proposal for a new day of remembrance, the deputies react to a meeting of representatives of Germany, Great Britain, France and Italy, who, without the participation of Czechoslovakia in the conference on September 29-30, 1938, decided that Czechoslovakia had to hand over part of its territory to the degrading conditions. “and was subjected to the de facto liquidation by the Nazi regime in Germany, which took place through the partition of Czechoslovakia”.

“No historical documents or attitudes of Czech and Slovak politicians from that period deny the fact that the behavior of the allies was perceived in the broad political and social agreement as a great betrayal,” wrote in the explanatory memorandum to the proposal.
