The court sent the vice-president of the Football Association of the Czech Republic, Roman Berbr, who is one of the accused in the case of influencing football matches, into custody. Czech Television informed about it.
At the request of ČTK, Zuzana Barochová, a spokeswoman for the District Court for Prague 6, did not confirm the information, stating that the detention session had not yet been completed.
The court is deciding whether to detain four of the 20 people accused by the police on Friday of influencing the results of football matches. According to the SeznamZprávy.cz and iSport.cz servers, Roman Rogoz, the sports director of the second league Vyšehrad, the referee Tomáš Grimm and Michal Káník, who was already involved in a previous case of influencing the results, also threatens to be imprisoned.
